#OWC AURA PRO X2 NOT RECOGNIZED UPDATE#
Hopefully, OWC will release a driver update or Apple will fix it in a future OS-X release, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm chalking it up as a loss and now I have a 27" 5K iMac that I will just have to use and shut down every time I'm done using it. ***2nd update: After the shop installed the latest drive that was guaranteed by OWC and tested to not have this problem, I let it go to sleep and it STILL shuts down upon going sleep. Huge headache for the shop, but I'm happy it's being taken care of. They plan to test a new one for this issue and will send it out after testing the drive and the shop will replace the drive. So OWC said it's a bad drive, although, it threw up the same error listed in the link below after the crash. ***Update: The store that did the work just called and OWC said the issue has only been found in MacBook's so far and my iMac should be immune. See OWC's support page below, hopefully, this will save you $$$ and a huge headache. I've adjusted all power options and nothing helps it.

So until the foreseeable future, I can't turn the iMac's screen off without it crashing and restarting. OWC is aware of the issue and made a statement with a "walk-around" that did nothing for me.
#OWC AURA PRO X2 NOT RECOGNIZED MAC#
It restarts the Mac with the error report stating the NVMe drive was the culprit. I get it home and find out that when the SSD sleeps it crashes every time. The shop and labor went well, the drive and labor cost over $600. I had my 27" 5K iMac upgraded from a Fusion drive to 2TB NVMe SSD (OWC Aura Pro X2) yesterday at an authorized Apple-certified Mac Experience store.
